IPM training Safe Pest Control for you and Your Clients: sponsored by Revitalize CDC and led by Susannah Reese, manager of the HUD-funded StopPests in Housing Program based at Cornell University’s Northeastern IPM Center, since 2014.
Under her leadership, over 100 federally supported housing sites all over the country have received training and consultation on safe and effective pest control. Susannah herself has visited dozens of affordable housing sites across the country, bringing pest control solutions to some of the largest housing authorities in the country to some of the smallest rural tribal housing entities. Through trainings, consultation, and conference presentations she engages housing professionals and residents in finding solutions to pest control challenges. View webinars below:

Free Core Competencies and Health Topics Class for CHWs
Holyoke Community College (HCC) is offering FREE Core Competencies and Health Topics class for Community Health Worker (CHW) from May to August 2020. This project is funded by the MassHealth CommonWealth Corporation grant.
The CHW classes will run for 12 weeks, on Wednesday nights 4pm-8.30pm. This program is absolutely FREE of charge, which includes free tuition, fees, and books. By the end of this program, students will earn six college credits. Also, the deadline to register is April 25th, 2020. (View eligibility requirements)

Holyoke Community College (HCC) is continuing to offer FREE Community Health Worker (CHW) classes through a federal HRSA grant. Through this funding, participants go through 2 courses to build foundational knowledge and skills. Courses are centered around the 10 Core Competencies for CHWs, and include a focus on social determinants of health, behavioral health, and substance use.
